Accel Community Cyber Program provides educational services to families whose children are either homeschooled or enrolled in cyber schools in and around Upper Darby. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization providing instructional support, tutoring, guidance and supervision for cyber school and home school students through our bricks and clicks cyber program.
We provide a facility where students can attend on a daily basis to receive the educational and instructional support needed to complete all daily coursework. We work with you, the parent, to bring the very best educational experience for your child.
Our center is open to all students from Prek-3 through 12th grade and although our delivery of learning may be different, our results are as effective as traditional instruction. Our staff is highly trained to provide a unique and individualize learning plan for every child. Our classroom set up is unique. We have a computer area for each child to work individually and workstations or classroom setup for group activities facilitated by a trained learning coach. We provide you with bi-weekly and quarterly reports to keep you updated on your child’s progress.
During the week, our cyber school students receive physical education classes and participate in extracurricular activities such as music, dance, drama, karate and team building activities.
We are Christian in our approach and deportment. God’s love drives us each day and we demonstrate that love in everything we say and do with the children. Feel free to stop by the facility at anytime for a tour and get to know Accel Community Cyber. May God always be glorified through our service to children and families.
In the Lord’s service,
Mrs. Veronica Manley
Our cyber bricks and clicks center is open to all students from Prek-3 through 9th grade. We work with you and your child’s cyber school to bring the very best educational experience. Although our delivery of learning may be different, our results are as effective as traditional instruction. It is great to be online and still be a part of a public school system. Our staff is highly trained to work with curriculums from Lincoln Interactive, Little Lincoln, Calvert and others. We provide bi-weekly and quarterly reports to keep parents updated on their child’s progress. Parents are also able to follow along with the teacher with the use of an online username and password.
You can also change your family’s status by updating emergency contact information, immunization record, address, phone number and much more through our EZcare online Parent Portal. Parents are now able to enroll easily through our new online registration feature above. During the school year, our cyber school students also engage in various social outings, such as: field trips, school parties, winter ball, graduation and prom.
If you’re looking for just one word to describe online education, allow me to suggest this one: “cool”! My name is Cindy Carbajal, and I think online teaching really matters.
Early in life, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. My mom and grandma were teachers, and I fully intended to join the ranks in a traditional classroom setting. I hadn’t heard of a virtual charter school before, but I’ve always been intrigued by technology, so I decided to check it out. After doing some research, I came to the realization that not only did I prefer it over substitute-teaching for a year but also that there actually wasn’t anything else I would rather do.
Online teaching provides a wonderful opportunity for parents, students, and teachers to work together to create unique and personalized education plans that really work. Below are some of my favorite things about online educationand how it can benefit your children in truly positive ways:
We’re always coming up with new ideas and best practices for how to effectively teach online. We’re on the cutting edge of virtual education practices, which is really cool for us and extremely beneficial for your children.
The kids who form friendships in real-time online classroom sessions, virtual study groups, clubs, and online activities often meet outside of school, attending each other’s birthday parties and spending time together. It’s so great to watch them form such supportive, cohesive groups, and often at young ages.
Everything considered, I have to say that there’s no doubt in my mind: Online education is pretty cool. It offers you and your children unique and exciting learning opportunities, and it is just as rewarding for the teachers who lead it.

Homeschooling is growing fast in the US at an estimated rate of 15% per year. Parents are choosing to home school rather than having their child attend an over-crowded brick and mortar school. As more and more school deal with violence, safety is a major concern. Many parents choose homeschooling because they believe that the schools has fallen short with academics and they are looking for more flexibility, individualized attention, and support.
With homeschooling, you have the flexibility to move your child ahead to slow things down if your child needs more time. There are no deadlines, which can stress your child. We work with you child at his or her own pace.
On average homeschooled children:
Accel Community Programs can be your home school partner by providing the instructional support you need for your child daily. Our learning coaches (certified teachers) will work with your child in a school-like setting by providing instruction in language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. Parents are kept informed of their child’s progress by receiving monthly and quarterly reports. We work with our parents every step of the way.
Assessments are completed each quarter to ascertain the areas where a child is progressing or to determine if the child needs more re-instruction. Students participate in physical education programs twice a week as well as other extracurricular and social activities. Homeschoolers receive report cards, grade promotion certificates, and high school diplomas.
Curriculum:
Accel uses the Calvert curriculum. Calvert is an accredited homeschooled program that services grades K-12 and uses a comprehensive curriculum that blends with tradition and innovation. The curriculum is tailored for each child. (For more information, visit homeschool.calvert.org)
