 The Education Center

The programs within The Education Center focuses on every aspect: life, health, nutrition, finance, literacy, and character building,

Philadelphia is an ethnically diverse low-income community that has been largely left behind in the economic boom that has transformed neighboring communities.

The Education Center offers a broad range of life skills programs that allow all youth and adults in our community to take advantage of the educational and economic opportunities created by information technologies.

The Education Center was designed to help strengthen the skills of individuals thereby making them more marketable and valuable in the industry of their choice or to function in the normal day to day activities.

The program serves youth age 10 through adult and offers GED classes, cooking, fitness and nutrition, job readiness, computer basics, financial management and health and wellness workshops as well as workshops on leadership, conflict resolution, proper etiquette and drug prevention.  Classes run in partnership with community-based organizations.

Each class last for 6 to 8 weeks.  At the conclusion of the workshop, each participant will receive a certificate of completion and a resource packet.
